Join us for the launch of our charitable foundation with a high-energy fashion and entertainment show.
Worldwide Maniac Foundation is an Austin-based private operating foundation created to provide families in need with green housing and sustainable living solutions for less than $20,000.
The
night will kick off with a live musical performance by Austin band Love
at War, followed by jazz musician Josh Charles. Also previewing is a
sneak peek of the Foundation’s documentary, Reclaiming the Garden. The
main event, the fashion show, will feature New York designers Maggie
Norris Couture, Carson Couture and Richie Rich. Special performance by aerial dance company Blue Lapis Light. DJ Johnny Bravvo will also be on hand to set the mood spinning the latest grooves.
Maggie Norris’
coveted couture designs are featured at Bergdorf Goodman, and were
donned by Nicole Kidman on the cover of Vanity Fair.
Carson Couture’s designs range from draping, Grecian-inspired gowns to
formfitting day dresses. Her red gowns have been featured in shows that
helped benefit the American Heart Association.
Richie Rich, infamous club kid turned fashion designer, will be showing his A*Muse collection. Since Heatherette disbanded in 2008, Richie Rich has been creating quite a stir around the world at his shows, which usually feature Pamela Anderson and Rich on roller skates. He promises that it will be a night of “fashion friendly fun.”
Athletes Chris Parrish (Four-Time Slalom Record Holder) along with football great Bennie Blades (formerly with the Detroit Lions) will participate in the event.
Josh Charles is a singer/songwriter whose music could be described as a
flashy combination of jazz, soul and rock and roll. Since bursting onto
the music scene, his new work is described as “Notown,” a combination
of New Orleans R&B and Motown.
